On 10 January 2023, UMSC was pleased to receive a visit from Tung Shin Hospital. During the visit, both hospitals engaged in an engaging session, exchanging ideas and sharing input on the hospital healthcare information system which bring highlights on the digitization journey of medical record process flow for seamless hospital and patient management experience. The visit delegation led by Chief Operation Officer of Tung Shin Hospital, Ms Teng Yu Yuet was warmly welcomed by Chief Operating Officer of UMSC, Ts Talib Sabri Sulaiman.

2023 started out great for UMSC, as they were selected as a winner for the Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) 2022. The recognition is based on a 100% vote from university students nationwide and UMSC was named one of the most preferred graduate employers to work for in the healthcare (hospital) category. Chief Executive Officer, Puan Norzaiton Senusi represented UMSC to receive the award in the Awards presentation Gala that was held on 5 January 2023 at Sunway Resort, Petaling Jaya.

Recognizing trailblazing initiatives in Asia’s healthcare sector, the Healthcare Asia Awards 2023 has awarded UM Specialist Centre (UMSC) as the Quaternary Hospital of the Year in Malaysia. The international recognition signifies 25 years of UMSC’s progressive milestones which position Malaysia's Premier Quaternary Hospital. The unique value proposition is pillared by the line-up of the world-renowned specialists with their multidisciplinary healthcare expertise that focus on complex medical cases with evidence-based clinical practices.

Chief Executive Officer of UMSC, Puan Norzaiton Senusi, accompanied by Deputy Medical Director of UMSC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raja Rizal Azman Raja Aman has received the recognition during the awards night that was held on 29 March 2023 at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.

This accomplishment also reflects the unparalleled effort and synergy demonstrated by both clinical and non-clinical staff of UMSC that continues to comprehend and embrace the essential transformation process throughout the years for a more sustainable healthcare business and operations.
