UMTeenz Coding for Teens is developed in collaboration with the esteemed Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (UM-FSKTM) at Universiti Malaya, ensuring a curriculum that’s both rigorous and relevant to the evolving tech landscape.
The UMTeenz Coding Program is a comprehensive coding program designed for teenagers aged 13 to 20. It aims to teach fundamental programming concepts and skills using Python as the primary programming language.
The program is open to teenagers aged 13 to 20 who are interested in learning programming. No prior coding experience is required to join.
Participants will learn essential programming concepts such as variables, data types, control structures, object-oriented programming, algorithms and data structures. They will also gain practical experience through hands-on coding exercises and projects.
The program is held every month on Saturday only.
Students are to be informed that the courses are sequential. For instance, if a student attended the first class on 7 September 2024 but is unable to attend the second class on 14 September 2024, they can opt to attend the second class on 12 October, 9 November, or 14 December 2024.
It is important to note that students cannot skip class; they must complete the second and third classes before progressing to the fourth class.
